Summary
We (the developer) do not receive, store, or have access to your app data on our systems. My Workspace has no online account database on our side. Your account, password, and your SQLite database exist only on your own device—the app does not send them to us and we do not sync them to our servers.
This page describes what the app may keep on your device and how the Play Store or your email works if you choose to contact us. It is not a claim that we hold a copy of your workspace.
What the app stores on your device (not on our servers)
We are not “collecting” this information into a database that we run. The app is offline-first and local. On your phone or tablet only, the following may be saved:
- Account & sign-in: the name and email you enter, plus a password hash (a one-way form used to verify your password) so you can sign in—all in SQLite on the device. Your real password is not sent to us and is not stored on our computers.
- App session data: a small local cache so the app can remember you are signed in, still only on the device.
- Workspace data: your projects, tasks, time entries, comments, boards, and related content in the on-device SQLite database. We never receive this database and cannot read it from here.
- If you open “Contact” and use your own mail app to email us, that is your choice. The app is not automatically uploading your account or tasks to us; any email is a normal message you send yourself.
How that local data is used (still only on the device)
The app on your device uses the data above to:
- Log you in and show your profile and workspace.
- Store and show the tasks and content you create.
- Run normal app features (editing, deleting, navigation between screens).
Because we have no copy of your data, we do not use your workspace for analytics, training, or resale—we never receive it. We do not sell personal information that we do not have.
Third parties, sharing, and the developer (us)
We do not get your data from the app in the background. The SQLite database, credentials, and workspace content are not uploaded to a service we operate. There is no cloud backup or sync to our company that pulls your data off the device.
Data may only leave your control in the usual, platform-level ways—for example, if you email us (your mail provider), if Google Play delivers updates, or if your device backup copies app data—those are between you, Google, and your own settings—not a pipeline from our app to our own database of users.
Voluntary contact: if you contact us, your message is whatever you type in an email. That is not the same as the app silently sending your SQLite data to us.
Standard Android / Google Play and device systems may process technical or diagnostic information according to Google’s policies and your device—that is separate from the app’s own local data.
Advertising and Google AdMob. This app is not set up to use AdMob in a way that exfiltrates your workspace. If we add ads or an SDK in the future, we will update this policy. Where Google’s ad services apply, their rules are described in the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Deleting your data
Because we do not keep a user database for the app, there is nothing for us to delete on our side. All of your data is on your device. You can remove it by:
- Inside the app: delete individual projects, tasks, boards, comments, or other items where the app offers delete.
- Android > Settings > Apps > My Workspace > Storage > Clear data (and/or Clear storage)—this clears the local SQLite database, including the password hash and workspace.
- Uninstall the app from the device—removes the app and its on-device data (backups, if any, follow your system settings).
Emailing us cannot delete data on your phone—only the steps above, on your device, can erase the local app data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page if the app gains new features (for example, cloud sync) or if rules change. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. A local-only, no-server data model is our current design.
